Wanderparkplatz Schanze I Schmallenberg

From 2000 to 2010, an outstanding cultural project was created in the cultural regions of Sauerland and South Westphalia: the “WaldSkulpturenWeg Wittgenstein-Sauerland”.
Together with a ranger, the authors Kadir Özdemir, Tobias Siebert and Dorian Steinhoff take anyone interested on a summer hike along art and nature on 12.5 kilometers of the Rothaarsteig trail. The authors will read from their texts at the individual sculptures. Shortly before the end of the circular route, the Kyrill Trail leads through an area where the forest has been preserved as the storm that gave it its name left it in 2007.

The tour starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Wanderpark Schanze (Schmallenberg).
The entrance is free. Registration is by mail to
Please pack enough drinks and food for the hike and picnic.
