zakk I Fichtenstraße 40 I 40233 Düsseldorf
Readings, walks, workshops and beer garden talks on the longest day of the year
with Ulrike Anna Bleier, Rabab Haidar, Neïtah Janzing, Odile Kennel, Tanja Maljartschuk, Freyja Melsted, Kadir Özdemir, Álvaro Parrilla Álvarez, Tobias Schulenburg, Tobias Siebert, Dorian Steinhoff and Stefanie de Velasco.
We celebrate the longest day of the year and the end of this year’s literary residency stadt.land.text NRW with a “slt_parcours” in the beer garden and hall of the zakk in Düsseldorf! During readings, walks, talks and workshops until sunset, the authors will present works from their residency in North Rhine-Westphalia.
From March to June 2022, the writers will be on the road in the cultural regions of NRW. They will explore youth culture and queer life in the countryside, go on literary racing bike tours or search for work stories on hiking trails. In the process, they develop sustainable narrative forms, send lyrical postcards to strangers and go in search of traces in their own family history. As different as their projects are, they always have a common question in mind: What are the things that connect us – and those that divide us? Between city and country, digital and analogue and not least within and outside our own social bubbles.
The detailed festival programme will follow here at the beginning of June.
